WHAT IS ALL TOGETHER SKATE PARK?

History // The location of ATS is in Fremont in what used to be Inner Space—the last indoor skatepark in Seattle. Inner Space, founded in 2003, was once a popular and beloved gathering place for the Seattle skateboard scene. Unfortunately, Inner Space was shut down in February of 2012 due to its inability to bring in enough revenue to keep it open. Many have been hoping and speculating about the re-opening of this space for Seattle skateboarders, and the time has finally come!

The Project // Skateboarders need an indoor park to call home in Seattle because let’s be honest—it rains a lot here. We are creating a fun, friendly and positive skateboarding experience for all ages with a focus on creating strong connections with youth. Together with our community and our industry we are the only indoor skate park in Seattle. The perfect balance lies at the intersection of building community, creating a positive place for skaters of all ages, and driving sales of companies that get behind the park both near and long term

Jameson First Shot | Meet the Filmmaker Jessica Valentine

We are excited to partner with Jameson Whiskey First Shot this summer for our 21+ movie night that highlight their talented filmmakers before each screening at our Fremont Outdoor Movies.

This year's winner is a local filmmaker, Jessica Valentine from Bellingham for her debut short film JUMP featuring Uma Thurman. Watch the film and meet the filmmaker with a Q & A before the screening at all three remaining screenings in August.

We take a look behind the scenes with Jessica Valentine, the USA Jameson First Shot winner 2014 as she makes her vision come to life while directing Uma Thurman. Jameson First Shot sees Jameson Irish Whiskey collaborate with Kevin Spacey's Trigger Street Productions to give three filmmakers the chance to bring their talent to life.

Check out the preview of JUMP now.

WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT

Every year we look for talented film craftsmen to enter Jameson First Shot. We offer three writer/directors the opportunity to get a ‘first shot’ in the film industry by having their short film produced by the award-winning Trigger Street Productions whilst directing an A-list actor in the lead role.

WHO ARE THE JUDGES

An expert team, including Kevin Spacey, Dana Brunetti and Uma Thurman who will star in the films, will judge the scripts and the finalist’s shortlisted scenes. The judges are looking for freshness, originality, good structure, good shots, good sound and above all, a great story.

From the scripts sent in by the closing date, a shortlist of candidates from each country – South Africa, Russia and the US (now including California) – will be chosen. Each shortlisted candidate will be required to further showcase their talent and capabilities. They will be asked to supply a video bio, a director’s treatment of their submitted script, and choose one of three scripts provided by Trigger Street to shoot footage based on or following on from the scene provided.

In order to enter you must be from South Africa, Russia or the US (now including California!), be at least 25 years-old, and write a script of no more than seven pages based on one of three themes (‘Legendary’ OR ‘Humorous’ OR a ‘Very Tall Tale’).

ABOUT OFFICE SPACE

Office Space is a 1999 American comedy film written and directed by Mike Judge. Satirizing work life in a typical 1990s software company, it focuses on a handful of individuals fed up with their jobs portrayed by Ron Livingston, Jennifer Aniston, Gary Cole, David Herman, Ajay Naidu, and Diedrich Bader.

The film's sympathetic depiction of ordinary IT workers garnered a cult following within that field, but also addresses themes familiar to white collar employees in general.

Shot in Las Colinas and Austin, Texas, Office Space is based on Judge's Milton cartoon series. It was his first foray into live action film and second full-length motion picture release.

While not a box office success, the film has sold well on DVD and VHS, and has become recognized as a cult classic.
